Restaurant roundup: Big Daddy's, Fifth Quarter, Oregon Trail

Big Daddy's Bar & Restaurant will open a new location by Labor Day weekend in Edwardsville at the former Vanzo's Taproom, 132 N. Main St. The new establishment will open by Labor Day weekend. It becomes the fourth locale for owners Steve Siebert, Tim Bauer and James Sinovic, who also have Big Daddy's 618 in at 313 E. Main St. in Belleville and two across the river in Soulard and Laclede's Landing.

The Fifth Quarter Bar & Grill at 118 E. Main St. in Collinsville has reopened after a complete renovation. The $200,000 reconstruction includes a refurbished bar now located on the opposite side of the building, exposed brick walls and an historic-looking facade outside. Owners Roger and Diana Schuerbaum recently bought the business from Roger's brother, Paul.

There's a new coffee shop in downtown Belleville. You can find Oregon Trail Roasting Co. at 201 W. Main St. You can call the café at 409-7156.
